The Interview

A Human Resource Manager was traveling home after his holiday. He was seated at the middle in a row of three seats on a plane. A lady was on his left.

The flight was delayed, all because of one passenger who was very late.

That passenger happened to be the one sitting on the right to the HR Manager.

That passenger tried to squeeze in without excusing himself. It wasn't possible. Both the HR Manager and the lady on his left got out from their seats for the late passenger to get to his seat.

Despite having enough room on his seat, the late passenger encroached into the space of the HR Manager with his left arm and leg.

Needless to say the journey home was unpleasant for the HR Manager despite having a good holiday earlier.

Some how the HR Manager thought the late passenger looked familiar but he could not recall when or where he has seen him.

The following day at the office, the HR Manager was conducting an interview for a senior position.

Among the candidates was a gentleman who met all the requirements, spoke politely and dressed smartly.

After looking at the candidate in person and the photograph on his resume, the HR Manager finally recalled that he was the passenger who sat on his right the day before! No wonder he looked familiar! The HR Manager saw his photograph before!

So, did that gentleman get the job? No!

Was the HR Manager being personal? No!

Life Lesson 101: Some interviews start long before the actually sessions!
