Flight Delay

The air steward said, enjoy your flight, but the passengers on MH2137 from Kota Kinabalu to Tawau were enjoying the amusement before the flight!

First there was an announcement that the departure gate has been changed from Gage 6 to Gate 8. 

Then there was another announcement informing that the flight was delayed due to late arrival of aircraft. Interestingly the plane was already waiting at Gate 8 for a long time.

Then some crews left the aircraft. 

Much later a new team of crews heading to the aircraft. 

Boarding announcement was made. 

The air steward welcomed everyone and said the flight would take 50 minutes. 

After much waiting, Captain David came on air and said the flight would take 40 minutes. He apologized for the delay due to late arrival of crews which was due to the late arrival of their previous aircraft. 

He also informed us that the present aircraft was being refilled and promised that we would take off after the refill. 

Another long wait and the captain came on air again. He said we were waiting for the tow track to arrive. We understood that it was to push the plane out to the runway. He sounded rather embarrassingly. 

That was the first time I have ever heard of a plane being further delayed due to late arrival of a tow truck! 

The plane finally took off 56 minutes later than the original schedule. 

The rest of the journey was uneventful!
